Yes, we happily welcome children to 9th Street Dental Care! Our team believes in starting healthy habits early, which is why we recommend a child’s first dental visit around age three—unless parents have concerns sooner. We focus on making these early visits positive and stress-free to help kids feel comfortable at the dentist.
We also offer preventive services like dental sealants to protect against cavities and fluoride treatments to help strengthen developing teeth, ensuring a healthy foundation for a lifetime of smiles.
How often should I visit the dentist?
For patients who are in good oral health, we recommend that you visit Dr. Remal Patel or Dr. Alex Spinuso twice per year or every six months. We’ll do a thorough examination, cleaning, and screening for concerns such as gum disease, oral cancer, and tooth decay. We’ll also take digital x-rays at least once per year to help us monitor your oral health and get an idea of what’s happening internally in your mouth.
If you struggle with periodontal (gum) disease, we recommend three visits per year or every four months, so we can help you maintain your oral health. We offer deep cleanings that reach below the gum line to remove plaque and tartar build-up and help patients with gum disease effectively manage their condition.
